In the previous article you have learn “Block Extension on Google Chrome“. In this article you will understand, how to block Extension on Edge Browser step by step. same as chrome templet you need to download and import Edge Templates.

once your policy has been downloaded, extract the file to get ADMX file.

After extraction is done, the are few files which are need to be imported in AD under the Policy Definition.

Microsoft Edge Option will be visible you GPO editor after you added ADMX or ADML file under Policy Definition

Now You need to create GPO to block extension on your Edge browser.
Go to Computer Configuration -> Polices -> Administrative Templates: Policy Definition _. Microsoft Edge -> Extensions -> right click on “Control which extensions cannot be installed” and go to properties

Enable the Option and click on Show -> Enter the ID of the extension which you want to block or ” * ” to block all type of extensions.
click OK and save all the changes you made.

Now, try adding extension on your edge browser. a notification will be popped up that your admin has blocked.
